Job Type: Full-time / Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
· Inspect vehicles at each stage: sanding, masking, priming, sealing, basecoat, clearcoat,
· and buffing.
· Ensure all paint matches, blends, and finishes meet OEM and shop quality standards.
· Maintain paint mixing systems, spray booths, and equipment; troubleshoot issues.
· Monitor inventory of paint, primers, abrasives, and consumables; place orders as
· needed.
· Enforce PPE use, ventilation, and hazardous material handling procedures.
· Communicate with estimators and production manager on repair status and any
· additional work needed.
· Perform hands-on prep and paint work during high-volume periods or complex repairs.
Qualifications:
· Strong knowledge of waterborne and solvent-based paint systems, blending, tinting,
and color matching.
· Ability to read repair estimates and identify prep/paint labor requirements.
· Leadership skills: able to motivate a team, resolve conflicts, and maintain production
flow. An asset.
· Fluent in English.
· Completion of secondary school is required.
· 1-2 Years experience.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a shop environment
· with fumes, dust, and noise.
