Senior UX Writer / Senior Content Designer (6 months contract)

Position Summary Our content is one of the first things our customers see when they use our products. We want to create a great first impression, excite our customers, educate them on the possibilities, help them when they run into issues, and enhance our company brand. We're looking for a senior content designer who brings strong UX writing foundations and hands-on experience creating AI skills and evaluating their effectiveness. Your time will be split roughly equally between advancing our AI practices and delivering day-to-day product content. This 6 month contract role suits someone who combines editorial judgment with an experimental mindset, can work through ambiguity, and enjoys both building new ways of working and solving product content problems.
Responsibilities
- Design, test, and maintain reusable AI skills - instructions, reference materials, and workflows that help AI tools perform content design tasks consistently.
- Develop and run evaluations (evals), using representative tasks, edge cases, quality criteria, and scoring rubrics to assess AI outputs.
- Analyze results, identify recurring failures, and refine skills to improve accuracy, clarity, consistency, and accessibility.
- Compare results across skill versions to understand whether changes improve quality or introduce regressions.
- Define when human review is needed, document limitations, and help teammates adopt and improve AI-assisted workflows.
- Own content design for product features and user journeys, from discovery through implementation and iteration.
- Collaborate with product designers, product managers, developers, and researchers to clarify user needs and simplify complex workflows.
- Evolve the B2B style guide, reusable content patterns, and design system documentation.
- Review human-authored and AI-assisted content for quality, consistency, and accessibility, and help teams apply content standards in their everyday work.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in UX writing, content design, or a similar role, including substantial work on complex B2B products.
- Strong content design and UX writing foundations, with a portfolio demonstrating clear, useful content across product flows and interactions.
- Hands-on experience creating and improving reusable AI skills or workflows that support content or product development.
- Practical experience designing and running AI evaluations: selecting meaningful test cases, defining quality criteria, assessing outputs, and using findings to make improvements.
- Experience delivering product content from discovery through launch with cross-functional teams.
- Experience developing or maintaining style guides, content patterns, and design system documentation.
- The ability to explain decisions, navigate ambiguity, and balance experimentation with ongoing product delivery.
- A bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
