Responsibilities

They demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills; take ownership of their work; and build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the organization. Internship opportunities at American Express may be aligned to different business units and teams based on business needs, project requirements, and individual strengths.
Day-to-day responsibilities in potential internship placements could include:
Project Management Roles: Regulatory & Business Operations, Control Management and Project Management Office
Conducting data analysis, reporting, and research to support regulatory and governance initiatives, including tracking requirements, deliverables, and compliance activities.
Product Management Role: Product, Lending, Acquisition, and Insurance
Supporting the growth and ongoing management of American Express product portfolios (eg. Cards, Insurance), by advancing initiatives that strengthen portfolio performance and support long-term business health.
Deep diving into business performance, customer insights, and market trends to identify opportunities, inform product strategy, and advance key strategic initiatives.
Marketing Role: Customer Marketing, Merchant Marketing, and Brand
Supporting the development and management of marketing campaigns across channels, including social media, Amex mobile app, email, and other customer engagement platforms.
