Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Identity and Access Management (IAM), cybersecurity, or Technology Risk.
- Experience supporting enterprise IAM or Multifactor Authentication (MFA) transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of IT security technologies, including Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), Single Sign-On (SSO), Active Directory, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and Open Authorization (OAuth).
- Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, analysis, and documentation experience.
- Advanced analytical experience working with large and complex data sets.
Skills and Depth
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, pivot tables, formulas, data validation, and reconciliation.
- Experience creating dashboards, status reports, and executive-level presentations.
- Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical and security concepts into clear business language.
- Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Description
The Senior Business Analyst IT for Multifactor Authentication Enablement will play a key role in advancing Sun Life’s enterprise security strategy. The resource will lead application assessments, stakeholder engagement, governance activities, and implementation planning to support MFA adoption across the global organization.
Working closely with business leaders, application owners, architects, and security teams, the Senior Business Analyst will identify and document requirements, manage risks and remediation activities, and prepare executive reporting to support secure, compliant, and sustainable access-management practices.
Responsibility
The Senior Business Analyst IT will:
- Lead MFA application assessments and readiness reviews across the enterprise.
- Gather and document business, security, functional, and technical requirements.
- Analyze application inventories and validate application ownership, scope, dependencies, and MFA applicability.
- Facilitate workshops with application owners, business stakeholders, architects, and security teams.
- Document implementation plans, dependencies, risks, issues, action items, and target completion dates.
- Support exception identification, remediation planning, and governance reviews.
- Build and maintain operational reporting, dashboards, status reports, and executive materials.
- Track actions, risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery progress through completion.
- Develop clear recommendations based on data analysis and stakeholder input.
- Support the transition of MFA governance and operational processes into business-as-usual operations.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, CyberArk, or Transmit Security.
- Knowledge of NIST, IAM governance, cybersecurity controls, and security compliance frameworks.
- Experience using ServiceNow, Power BI, SharePoint, or Azure DevOps.
- CBAP, CISSP, CISM, CISA, or a similar professional certification.
- Experience working in a large, regulated enterprise or financial-services environment.
