About AMZ PrepAMZ Prep is an Amazon-first 3PL and commerce enablement company. We run 20+ warehouses across the US and Canada, move over 200,000 units a day, and support more than 1,300 brands.
We started as a fulfillment company, and we are becoming an AI and software-first one. Our top brands sit at the center of that growth, and we are building an Account Management team to be the executive sponsor on every one of them. This is one of the first seats on that team.
Our ValuesOur team operates on a few simple principles. If you do not align with these, we would recommend you do not apply.
- Win Relentlessly. We work hard and stay resilient when things get tough. We move fast, adapt when reality does not match the plan, and push to raise the bar every day.
- Own the Outcome. We are responsible for results, not for having tried. We do not wait for someone else to solve the problem. When something breaks for a customer, we step in, fix it, and make sure it does not happen twice.
- Be Humbly Confident. We are confident in our work and grounded in how we treat people. We communicate directly, avoid politics and ego, and call out problems early instead of managing around them.
- Obsess Over Data. Numbers decide. We measure before and after, we quantify the value we deliver to every customer, and we let the metrics tell us when something is not working.
About the JobOur biggest customers are some of the fastest-growing brands on Amazon. They trust us with their inventory, their delivery promises and, more and more, their margins. We're hiring a Strategic Account Manager to own those relationships.
You'll take over a book of top accounts and run each one like it's your own business. You'll know every customer's numbers as well as they do: what they ship, what it costs them, where they're growing and where they're exposed. Our Customer Ops team handles the daily execution, so your week goes to the work that decides whether an account doubles or walks, like launching a brand on Seller Fulfilled Prime, preparing for a carrier renewal, or rebuilding trust with a customer after a rough quarter.
You'll report to our Head of Account Management and work closely with Operations, Finance, Sales and Product. The team is new, and the people who join now will write the playbook we scale in 2027.
What You'll DoOwn Your Book
- Act as executive sponsor for a set of our largest customers, accountable for their retention, growth and renewals
- Stay in front of every customer every week, and send their leadership a weekly and monthly performance report
- Visit your top accounts in person each quarter
Grow Every Account
- Track order and revenue trends week over week, and keep a written growth plan for each account
- Spot expansion across new services, channels and volume, and close it with our Sales team
- Turn your happiest customers into referrals and public reviews
Run Reviews Customers Look Forward To
- Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews built around the customer's numbers: parcel spend, storage, growth, speed into Amazon and delivery times
- Bring specific recommendations for improving their revenue and profit
- Collect a demand forecast from every customer each month, so our network is ready for their volume
Manage the Account P&L
- Know the revenue, gross margin, credits and cost to serve on every account
- Keep receivables current, and fix accounts where margin is slipping
- Lead renewals and rate reviews
Lead the Big Projects
- Run large customer initiatives from kickoff to launch, such as Seller Fulfilled Prime rollouts, cost optimization programs and carrier renewals
- Model cost disputes and pricing scenarios, and build proposals that work for the customer and for us
Fix What Breaks
- Take the lead when an account is at risk, pull in Operations, Finance and Sales, and own the plan and the customer updates until it's resolved
- Write the SOP after every fix, so no other customer runs into the same problem
Shape the Product
- Gather customer feedback on our reporting and dashboards through Relay, our customer platform
- Bring the most-requested changes to Product each month, and tell customers when they ship
What You'll Need- Logistics Experience (Non-Negotiable). You have worked in logistics, whether at a 3PL, a fulfillment or freight company, a carrier, or in a brand's supply chain team. You understand how inbound, warehousing, parcel and freight fit together, and you can speak a warehouse's language.
- Account or Consulting Experience. 3 to 7 years in strategic account management, client partnership, management consulting or a similar role where you owned customer outcomes.
- A Revenue Number You Owned. You have carried a retention, renewal or expansion target, not just satisfaction scores.
- Commercial Instincts. You can read a P&L, model scenarios, and walk a customer's leadership team through the numbers.
- Executive Presence. You can hold a room with a founder or a VP of Operations, and turn a tough conversation into a plan.
- Bias to Own It. You organize the people around you and close problems fast, instead of handing them off.
- Data to Decisions. You are at home in spreadsheets and dashboards, and you use data to decide what to do next.
- Travel. Quarterly in-person visits to customers and our warehouse network.
Bonus Points- Consulting background at a top strategy or operations firm, especially in supply chain, logistics or operations
- Experience with brands selling on Amazon, or with Amazon FBA and Seller Fulfilled Prime programs
- You have led a large customer project, such as a migration, a launch or a cost optimization program
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or a BI tool such as Tableau or Power BI
Performance Metrics- Net revenue retention on your book (primary KPI)
- Revenue growth against a quarterly goal
- Account gross margin and customer profitability
- Logo churn and revenue churn
- Receivables on your book
- MBR and QBR coverage
- NPS and CSAT
Why AMZ Prep- Real ownership from day one. You'll manage accounts that matter to the business, with your own book and your own P&L.
- Access to leadership. You'll work directly with the people running the company, and your recommendations get acted on quickly.
- Better tools. We're building our own software and AI tools for logistics, and you'll use them to see what's happening in your accounts before the customer has to tell you.
How We Hire (READ THIS)We move fast. Here's what the process looks like:
Step 1: Apply + Culture Test
Submit your application and complete our internal Culture Test, including a Loom video walking through an account or client you grew or turned around. Show us how you think, how you lead a customer, and how you use data. Apply here.
Step 2: Agent Challenge: Build an MVP
If there's a fit, we'll send you a real, anonymized customer account within 48 hours, including order trends, a P&L and an issue log. Use tools to build out the MBR / QBR you would run with that customer, plus your 90-day plan to grow the account.
Step 3: In-Person Interview
If you're moving forward, we'll bring you into our Mississauga office to present your QBR to the team, the same way you would to a customer.
Step 4: Offer + Start
We don't drag our feet. If it's a yes, we'll extend an offer quickly and expect you to start immediately or within 2 to 4 weeks.
