At ANDRITZ Fabrics & Rolls, we partner directly with pulp & paper mills to improve machine performance, uptime, and efficiency across the entire paper machine.
We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer who can combine paper machine expertise + consultative sales to deliver real operational value to our customers
What You’ll Be Doing
This is not transactional sales - you’ll act as a trusted technical advisor inside the mill.
Customer-Facing Technical Sales
- Build and manage relationships with paper mills across Quebec & Eastern Canada
- Identify opportunities for:
- paper machine clothing (PMC)
- roll covers
- bowed rolls
- related services
- Lead machine audits, service visits, and optimization discussions
Field Work & Performance Optimization
- Conduct press section and machine optimization studies (including Rezolve™)
- Support shutdown inspections, troubleshooting, and performance improvement efforts
- Analyze machine performance and recommend practical, value-driven solutions
Drive Results & Growth
- Identify opportunities to improve performance and reduce operational risk
- Deliver clear reports, recommendations, and follow-up actions
- Provide visibility on:
- mill conditions
- customer needs
- competitive landscape
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
- Experience working in paper mills (production, maintenance, reliability, process, or technical support)
- Strong understanding of:
- paper machines
- press sections
- rolls or PMC
- Comfortable working directly in mill environments + customer-facing roles
- Ability to build relationships across all levels of a mill (operators → management)
- Self-driven and comfortable owning a regional territory
Preferred
- Experience in:
- paper machine clothing
- rolls / roll services
- press optimization
- Background in:
- technical sales, applications engineering, or field service
- Experience with:
- machine audits
- shutdown support
