What we're hiring
Business Development Representative - Anyset. Montreal, QC (in office).
About Anyset
At the end of every construction project, general contractors have to organize thousands of documents from various systems, subcontractors, and the field so they can prepare that data for digital delivery to the owner. Today, that work happens almost entirely in email and spreadsheets. It's slow, and it usually ends in a PDF binder.
Anyset was founded by construction engineers who lived with this problem on large infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, and manufacturing facilities. We're using AI to turn scattered data across project management systems like Autodesk and Procore into a structured, usable digital turnover, solving the handover end to end.
Role overview
We're looking for a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to build our sales pipeline. This is an entry-level, in-office role based in Montreal, working side by side with our founding team. It's built for people with 0 to 3 years of experience who want to break into B2B sales. You'll do outbound prospecting through cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn to reach general contractors, starting conversations about how they handle closeout today and booking meetings with our sales team.
What you'll do
- Reach general contractors on mid- to large commercial and industrial projects.
- By phone, email, and LinkedIn, introduce them to Anyset, generate and qualify leads, find the right people (such as project executives, operations leaders, and closeout coordinators), and learn how their teams handle closeout and where it breaks down.
- Book meetings: schedule discovery calls and product demos.
- Manage the CRM: log activity, track outreach, and keep the pipeline organized.
- Sharpen the messaging. Work with the founders and sales team to refine it.
- Study what's working and bring back what you hear from the field.
- Learn the industry: research target accounts, follow construction and project delivery trends, and become fluent in how GCs work.
- Learn the latest AI techniques to pre-qualify leads at scale.
What we're looking for
- 0 to 3 years of sales or business development experience. B2B SaaS or construction experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills. You're confident on the phone and clear in writing.
- A competitive, self-motivated drive to exceed targets.
- Curiosity about construction and the people who build things.
- You don't need a construction background, but you should want to learn one.
- Comfort in a fast-paced, early-stage startup, and excitement about working in person with a small team.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and coachable.
- Confident with structured thinking, especially when organizing data and working with AI.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Why Anyset
- Get in early: Work in person with the founding team in Montreal to help shape how Anyset goes to market.
- Career growth: Start as a BDR to grow into sales, account management, or leadership.
- Competitive compensation: Base salary plus commission, with eligibility for equity grants.
- Make an impact: Help contractors finish jobs well and give owners a real, usable record of the buildings and infrastructure they operate.
