Role Description This full-time Physiotherapist role is an on-site position located in Ottawa, ON. The Physiotherapist will assess patients’ physical conditions, review medical histories, and develop individualized treatment plans focused on restoring function, reducing pain, and enhancing mobility. Daily responsibilities include performing manual therapy techniques, prescribing therapeutic exercises, using appropriate modalities, and providing education on injury prevention, posture, and home exercise programs. The role involves maintaining accurate clinical documentation, tracking patient progress, and collaborating with other health professionals to coordinate care. The Physiotherapist is also expected to contribute to a supportive clinic environment, adhere to professional standards and regulations, and participate in ongoing learning to keep current with best practices.
Qualifications
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physiotherapist in Ontario, and completion of an accredited physiotherapy program.
- Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, treatment planning, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise prescription.
- Ability to maintain clear, accurate clinical documentation and manage caseloads efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Commitment to evidence-informed practice, professional ethics, and continuous professional development.
- Experience in outpatient orthopedics, sports injuries, or musculoskeletal rehabilitation is an asset.
- Comfort working in an on-site clinical setting and adapting care to diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
