The Project Manager for our Bypass and Fluid Transfer division is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of all bypass pumping, fluid transfer equipment and other related rental assets. (Tanks, Flow Meters, Sewer Plugs, Fish Baskets, etc). You will be the primary point of contact for customers, coordinating rentals, purchase orders, scheduling equipment delivery/ pick up, customer invoicing and ensuring a high level of customer service. This role leads the execution for all fluid transfer/ bypass projects including but not only water and wastewater pumping station projects, including new facilities, upgrades, expansions, rehabilitation programs, infrastructure upgrades, sewer lining pond dewatering, WWTP and surface water solutions. In addition to project execution responsibilities, you will actively contribute to business growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new project opportunities and expanding client relationships within our target infrastructure sectors.
Detailed Job Description
Project Management
- Manage client relations, including prompt response to requests for proposals, quotations, and scheduling of services.
- Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely progress, adherence to specifications, and alignment with financial objectives.
- Work with and lead engineering and estimating staff to prepare professional technical proposals, engineered bypass plans, engineered discharge fluid transfer plans, and detailed budgets with a defined scope of work.
- Attend meetings with clients related to all new project opportunities, as well as all progress meetings throughout life of contract. Build and maintain positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Oversee the planning, organization, direction, control, and evaluation of construction bypass projects from inception to completion.
- Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions to maintain scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands.
Rental Operations
- Coordinate and manage rental reservations, deliveries and returns.
- Prepare and process rental purchase orders, invoices, and related documentation within the signing authority for the position.
- Verify equipment or asset availability and schedule rentals accordingly.
- Ensure rental units are ready for delivery, pickup, or customer collection.
- Monitor rental periods and proactively manage contract renewals and overdue returns.
Asset Coordination
- Coordinate delivery, pickup, and transportation of rental equipment or assets.
- Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to ensure rental units are inspected, serviced, and available for use.
- Report damaged, lost, or malfunctioning equipment and coordinate repairs as required.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate rental records, customer files, and on-site inventory for invoicing purposes.
- Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely progress, adherence to specifications, and alignment with financial objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and rental procedures.
Sales and Business Development
- Actively contribute to business growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new project opportunities and expanding client relationships within our target infrastructure sectors.
- Identify opportunities to upsell rental products and services.
- Promote rental programs and support customer retention initiatives.
- Assist with prequalification, quotations, pricing proposals, and contract negotiations.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Ensure rental transactions comply with company policies, insurance requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Verify customers receive proper operating instructions and safety information when required.
- Maintain documentation related to inspections, maintenance, and compliance standards.
- Act in compliance with Aquatech’s Health and Safety and Environmental Management standards.
Compensation:
$80,000 – $90,000 per year.
