Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an energetic and reliable Grill Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality grilled menu items while maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and consistency in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering excellent food and customer service.

Prepare and cook grilled menu items according to recipes and company standards.
Ensure food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented consistently.
Set up and stock the grill station before each service.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and utensils.
Assist with food preparation, inventory rotation, and receiving deliveries as required.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure efficient service.
Report equipment issues or food quality concerns to the Kitchen Manager or Chef.
Support opening, closing, and cleaning duties.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Grill Cook, Line Cook, or in a similar food service role is preferred.
Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Food Safety Certification is considered an asset.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs), work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment, and perform repetitive tasks.
