We are currently accepting applications for
Permanent Full-time Financial Services Associates to be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of financial information. Includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions. This position may have a particular focus on one function. The role also includes general administrative support to the Finance Department.
Compensation Package
- Work up to 37.5 hours weekly
- Minimum starting rate of pay is $29.74 per hour ($57,993 annually)

Minimum Requirements For This Position Include
- Minimum 2 years' recent full-time experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Not-for-profit experience is preferred.
Overview Of Duties (including, But Not Limited To)
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in handling financial data.
- Knowledgeable of general office and accounting practices including maintaining files and record keeping.
- Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft office products with above average abilities in Excel and Word.
- Demonstrated skills in inclusive leadership, including building relationships, problem solving and decision making, self-awareness, championing change and innovation.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with computer operations and software applications.
- Current valid driver's license and own reliable transportation to be used in the course of employment.
General Duties
- Preparing and posting monthly journal entries for preauthorized automatic debits.
- Checking invoices, verifying adequate payment authorization, and inputting into financial system.
- Maintaining and transmitting EFT information to bank.
- Preparing/printing cheques and matching documentation for signoff by Executive Team.
- Reconciling supplier statements.
- Preparing cash receipts listings including preparing, posting and delivering bank deposit.
- Preparing, posting and mailing invoices, statements and receipts for all receivables.
- Reconciling various receivable accounts.
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Providing back up for other Finance team members.
- Providing general clerical support to the Finance Department.
- Assisting in the preparation of data for year-end audit.
- Acquiring training congruent with professional needs.
- Occasional supervision of part-time staff, students and volunteers.
- Performing other duties as requested by the Director Finance.
- General administrative support and various duties as assigned by the Director Finance.
