As our Customer Business Manager, Ontario Foodservice, you will be responsible for developing and managing key customer relationships across foodservice distributors, regional and national chains, and further processors within Ontario. You will drive volume, revenue, and profitability through strategic customer planning, effective execution, and strong collaboration across internal teams. Working closely with customers and cross-functional partners, you will identify opportunities for growth, deliver business objectives, and strengthen Arla's position within the Foodservice channel.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director, National Foodservice Sales Customer Business Team, you will
- Develop and execute customer business plans aligned with the National Foodservice Sales strategy and Arla's overall business objectives
- Drive profitable sales growth across key product categories with foodservice distributors, regional and national chains, and further processor customers
- Build, manage, and strengthen customer relationships to identify business opportunities and ensure successful delivery of customer and company objectives
- Develop annual customer plans that support business growth, market penetration, and achievement of sales targets
- Manage pricing, rebates, trade investments, receivables, deductions, forecasting, new product launches, and product discontinuations within the assigned territory
- Oversee monthly customer costing processes for further processors, ensuring pricing accuracy and effective margin management
- Deliver accurate sales forecasting to support inventory management, service levels, and business planning objectives
- Provide regular business updates and performance reporting, including analysis of sales trends, wins, losses, and market developments
- Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and customer developments to identify risks and growth opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance teams to support outstanding customer experiences and operational excellence
- Ensure customer information, contacts, product recalls, and other administrative requirements are maintained accurately and consistently
Who Are You?
You are a results-oriented sales professional with a passion for the Foodservice industry and a proven track record of delivering profitable growth. You excel at building trusted customer partnerships, identifying market opportunities, and translating business strategies into successful execution plans.
You bring
- A minimum of 6 years of sales experience within the Foodservice industry working with national Foodservice accounts
- Experience working with customer pricing, profitability management, forecasting, and trade investments
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to analyze customer performance and develop strategic plans
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- A demonstrated ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across functions
- A growth mindset, high level of accountability, and commitment to continuous learning and development
- A University or College degree, preferably in Business Administration or a related discipline
- A valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle
What do we offer?
The compensation range for this role is $110,000-120,000, and this posting is for a current vacancy. This reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
