The Client:
A global geoscience‑software company that builds advanced predictive modelling and interpretation software tools for oil & gas, geothermal, carbon‑capture, and offshore wind industries.
Overview of Role:
The Architect will contribute to the development and refinement of software architecture in cooperation with senior team members. This role focuses on implementing architectural patterns, supporting domain modeling efforts, and ensuring code quality and maintainability. The Architect will work closely with development teams to translate design principles into working solutions.
What You Will Do:
- Assist in implementing architectural patterns and principles.
- Support modernization efforts of legacy systems.
- Participate in domain modeling and design discussions.
- Ensure code quality and maintainability through best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to align implementation with architectural goals.
- Contribute to secure coding practices and CI/CD processes.
- Document architectural decisions and communicate them effectively to technical and non technical audiences.
What You Bring:
- Understanding of microservices, event-driven architecture, hexagonal architecture
- Senior development experience in medical device/life sciences or geosciences/mining sector preferred
- Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design
- Familiarity with secure coding and CI/CD tools
- Proficiency in C++. Python experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming principles
- Proficiency in usage of AI as means of increasing the quality of code
- Degree in Computer Science; Masters or PhD level preferred
The Compensation Package:
- Base salary of $160 000 plus benefits provided
- Full relocation package to be provided
