Our Pipeline Construction group is looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Operator (Excavator & Dozer) for an active pipeline construction project in northeast BC.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, we are seeking an operator with experience supporting Pipeline Construction to operate Excavators (Hoes) and Dozers on Pipeline Right-of-Ways. This is a fill-time, project-based role we are looking to have someone start right away. If you know your way around a right-of-way and take pride in quality work, we want to hear from you.
Please Note: this position will work a schedule of 6 days on / 1 day off with 12 hour days. LOA of $175/day and Truck allowance will be provided for qualified candidates.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate excavators (hoe) and dozers on pipeline right-of-way activities
- Strip topsoil and manage material storage and segregation
- Complete rough and final grading of the right-of-way
- Support backfill and final clean-up and reclamation work
- Perform daily pre-use equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Work safely alongside crews, following all site procedures and hazard assessments
- Follow environmental and reclamation requirements
- Proven pipeline experience with stripping, grade, and clean-up
- Proficient on both excavators (hoes) and dozers (GPS/grade control experience is an asset)
- Ability to read grade stakes and work to survey and specifications
- Strong safety mindset and a good attitude on a team
- A Valid Driver's Licence

- H2S Alive
- Standard First Aid / CPR
- WHMIS
- Ground Disturbance Level 2
- CSTS-09 (Construction Safety Training System) or equivalent
- Additional tickets such as TDG, fall protection, or pipeline orientation are considered an asset
This position offers a rate of $42.00 - $45.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
