Company Description: Artree Studio fosters a nurturing environment for artistic growth and creativity, supporting learners and artists as they flourish and explore their creative endeavors. We embrace holistic development for both children and adults by following their interests. Our focus is on creativity, diversity, inclusion, and a variety of hands-on skills.
Beyond the studio, we're passionate about giving back to our community - we love holding workshops and events that bring art to seniors, families, and local groups, sharing creativity with love and care for everyone we meet.
Role Description
Event Volunteers at Artree Studio support the smooth running of our Art Jamming events and community art sessions. This is a flexible, on-site volunteer role based in Richmond and Burnaby - outdoors at parks through the warmer months, moving to community centres in winter. Day-to-day tasks include welcoming families and participants, helping with event setup and cleanup, organizing art supplies and materials, and supporting registration and check-in (including posting sign-ups on Instagram). Volunteers also help spread the word about Artree's programs and encourage attendees to sign up for a Free Trial class, helping ensure a positive, safe, and inclusive experience for everyone who stops by. The role involves regular in-person interaction with the public, teamwork with Artree staff and fellow volunteers, and shifts that can be one-off or ongoing depending on your availability.
Qualifications
- Friendly, welcoming manner with families, children, and people of all ages and backgrounds.
- Clear, comfortable communication - able to answer basic questions about Artree's programs and point people to sign-up/registration.

- Comfortable standing for extended periods outdoors or indoors, and able to help with light physical tasks like setting up tables and carrying supplies.
- Students looking to log volunteer hours for a school requirement are welcome.
