Aspex Group is looking for an HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Montreal team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys recruiting, working directly with hiring managers, and contributing to the day-to-day operations of our HR department.
You will take ownership of recruitment for a variety of positions across our companies while also supporting employee onboarding, HR administration and selected payroll-related activities.

What you'll doTalent Acquisition
- Manage recruitment for multiple positions across the organization
- Write and publish job postings
- Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed and other channels
- Review applications and identify qualified candidates
- Conduct telephone and virtual screening interviews
- Coordinate and participate in interviews
- Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs
- Follow up with candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Help improve our recruitment strategies and processes
- Develop new approaches for attracting qualified candidates
Human Resources
Working closely with our HR Director, you will also:
- Prepare new-hire documentation
- Assist with employee onboarding and orientation
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
- Prepare letters and internal HR communications
- Support employee departures and related documentation
- Assist with various HR projects and administrative responsibilities
Payroll Support
- Review and correct timecard entries when required
- Assist with payroll entries and validations
- Support the HR Director during payroll processing
- Help ensure employee information is accurate and up to date
Experience with ADP Workforce Now or another Canadian payroll platform is considered an asset.
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or human resources
- Strong recruiting and candidate-sourcing skills
- Experience conducting candidate screenings and interviews
- Ability to manage several open positions simultaneously
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Excellent written and spoken French
- Functional professional English
- Comfortable using LinkedIn, Indeed and recruitment technology
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
- A proactive, resourceful and solutions-oriented approach
Experience with Quebec payroll, ADP Workforce Now or HR administration is an asset, but we encourage experienced recruiters and HR professionals to apply even if they have not worked with every system listed above.
