Aston Carter's large client in Calgary is seeking a Production Accountant to join their team! This individual will be someone who enjoys the deadline-driven pace of production accounting and who wants to develop their career with exposure to our varied facility portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle production accounting for a variety of facilities with varying levels of complexity
- Validate receipts and dispositions, perform accurate data entry, and consolidate information from multiple sources
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the production accounting cycle, industry deadlines, and workload prioritization
- Analyze property data, including metering variances, shrinkage, analysis, and recoveries
- Apply strong problem-solving skills and a natural curiosity to investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Invoice customers for services provided, develop an understanding of assigned contracts, and review agreements regularly to ensure billing accuracy
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Identify process improvement opportunities and promote a continuous improvement mindset
Additional Skills & Qualifications
MUST HAVE
- 1-3 years of production accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Proven initiative and strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure with minimal supervision
- Strong MS Excel experience
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
