Job Description
Astrolite is seeking a skilled Test Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manual and automated testing, ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Test Case Design and Execution: Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data for manual and automated testing.
- Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.
- Automation Testing: Create and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
- Regression Testing: Conduct regression tests to ensure that new changes do not adversely affect the existing functionality.
- Performance and Load Testing: Participa te in performance, load, and stress testing, providing insights and reports on system behaviour under various conditions.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
Specific Skills
- Proficiency in manual testing techniques and tools.
- Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla or ClickUp or PCloudy
- Basic understanding of SQL and scripting for test automation.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in software testing.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
