Exploration Geologist
ATHA Energy Corp. is seeking Exploration Geologists to support its exploration programs across Canada.
Exploration Geologists will be involved in all aspects of drill core logging and sampling, mapping, geological data management, data analysis, geological interpretation and modeling, and compliance with ATHA’s operational protocols and standards.

Responsibilities
- Execute all field activities in a safe manner consistent with internal practices and procedures.
- Geological logging and sampling of diamond drill core.
- Sample shipment preparation ensuring accurate chain-of-custody and quality assurance/quality control records.
- Core photography and collection of geological and geotechnical data.
- Assist with downhole and ground geophysical surveys where required.
- Field mapping, prospecting and geochemical sampling.
- Support diamond drilling and other field exploration programs.
- Compile, validate and analyze exploration datasets to inform and guide geological interpretations.
- Support geological interpretation, 3D modelling and target generation.
- Maintain geological databases and field records.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Geology, Geological Sciences or a related discipline.
- 0–5 years of mineral exploration experience.
- Strong organizational and data-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a larger technical team.
- Ability to work at remote exploration sites and on uneven terrain.
- Ability to regularly lift and handle drill core boxes and field equipment weighing up to approximately 50 lb (23 kg), with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Standard First Aid/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).
Previous experience in uranium exploration and with software such as Leapfrog Geo, QGIS/ArcGIS and MX Deposit would be considered assets.
