thinking.Role Description The General Manager/Managing Partner is a full-time, on-site leadership role based at our Oakville, ON dealership, Oak-Land Ford Lincoln. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of dealership operations, including sales, service, parts, finance, and administration, to ensure profitability, customer satisfaction, and strong team performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting and managing departmental goals, optimizing processes and performance metrics, coaching and mentoring managers, and driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The General Manager/Managing Partner will lead strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting, maintain compliance with corporate and regulatory standards, and represent the dealership within the local community. Collaboration with AutoIQ’s network leadership to implement group-wide initiatives and leverage shared resources is also a key aspect of t
his role.Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in automotive dealership management, with a strong track record of driving operational and financial performance.
- Demonstrated skills in strategic planning, business development, and P&L management, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Strong sales, marketing, and customer relationship capabilities, with the ability to enhance the guest experience and grow market share across new, pre-owned, and fixed operations.
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing diverse teams, fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture and high levels of engagement.
- Comfort with digital retailing tools, CRM systems, and dealership management systems; ability to use data and technology to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of automotive industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in dealership operations.
- Post-secondary education in business, management, or a related field is an asset; equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Ability to work on-site in Oakville, ON, with flexibility to support extended hours and peak business periods as needed.
