AVA Energy is working with a global renewable energy technology business to appoint a senior sales leader for its growing Canadian battery storage business.
You’ll lead the company’s Canadian utility-scale storage growth, building a multi-hundred-MWh pipeline of grid-scale projects and converting it into contracted capacity. You’ll take projects from early origination through RFP and tender response, system sizing and solution design, and commercial negotiation to a signed supply agreement.
About you
- 10+ years in commercial or business development roles in battery storage, power equipment or grid infrastructure
- A track record of closing utility-scale BESS deals in Canada or North America is a big advantage
- Senior relationships with Canadian storage developers, IPPs, utilities and EPCs
- Solid technical fluency in BESS: cells and racks, PCS, EMS, MW/MWh sizing, degradation, availability and interconnection
- Experience with supply agreements, performance guarantees, warranties and LDs
- Fluent English; French strongly preferred for Québec
- Willing to travel across Canada and internationally
