THE ROLE
The Account Administrator provides centralized administrative support to our production and service teams. In this role, you will work closely with Account Managers and Account Executives to ensure a seamless execution of our commercial lines service strategy.
As a dedicated administrative professional, you excel in efficiently managing workflows amidst competing priorities, and deliver consistent, high-quality results without on schedule. Your exceptional follow-through skills and meticulous attention to detail ensures accurate policy documentation, renewals, and endorsements, contributing significantly to the success of the Commercial Lines team, and fostering positive client experiences.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Most importantly, you will lead by example, live our values, and drive business relationships for the company by providing exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with the Account Manager on data entry into Policy Works, build submissions and generate required applications/ forms (e.g. SOV, worksheets etc.)
- Update Schedules of Values (SOV), invoices, and certificates for endorsement.
- Prepare and issue binders for renewals, pink cards (Auto ID cards), endorsements, and certificates.
- Manage Broker of Record (BOR) letters in compliance with regulations.
- Handle invoicing, certificate generation, and set up Client Connect for new and renewing accounts.
- Communicate and follow up with clients to gather necessary information for policy renewals, endorsements, and other account-related activities.
- Start the 90-day renewal process by preparing and maintaining insurance summaries as directed and ensuring all COPE are updated.
- Input, update and submit claims and client’s information into EPIC.
- Ensure accuracy of endorsements on policies and communicate changes to clients in collaboration with the Account Manager.
- Communicate change requests from clients to underwriters.
- Maintain and update EPIC and ensure workflows are followed.
- Actively develop an increased knowledge of related insurance products and client needs.
- Maintain strong clientele relationship.
- Other duties as required.
WHAT WE REQUIRE:
- Level 2 General License or willing to obtain.
- Willing to invest time in extensive training and obtaining insurance industry related professional designations such as CAIB.
- Ability to be a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills as well as high follow-through and strong organizational skills.
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy and business acumen with a focus on customer service and overall client experience.
- Skills in analysis, problem solving, critical thinking, decision making, teamwork, communication, innovation, and adaptability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with internal Broker Management Systems (EPIC) considered an asset.
