THE ROLE
We're looking for a Smart Home Programmer to configure, program and commission automation systems in high-end homes across the Greater Toronto Area and Muskoka. You'll turn design specifications into reliable, intuitive control systems covering AV, lighting, climate, security and networking. You'll work on platforms like Savant, Control4 and Crestron, along with DSC and ICT security panels, and alongside our project managers, designers and installation technicians.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Program and configure home automation systems, including AV, lighting, climate control, security and networked devices
- Program and configure Savant, Control4 and Crestron automation systems
- Program and integrate security and access control systems, including DSC and ICT Protege panels, and coordinate with central monitoring stations
- Translate design specifications and drawings into functional control systems and custom user interfaces
- Integrate multiple technologies into one cohesive user experience
- Test and commission systems on-site in Toronto and Muskoka
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, and keep software and firmware up to date
- Produce clear system documentation and provide basic end-user training
- Help improve AVI's integration standards and programming practices
