Role Description The Administrative Assistant & Student Support Services role is a full-time, on-site position located in Saskatoon, SK. This role provides day-to-day administrative support to the college, including managing front desk operations, answering phones, responding to email inquiries, and maintaining student records and files. The individual in this position supports students by scheduling appointments, assisting with forms and documentation, directing learners to appropriate resources, and helping coordinate class schedules and campus events. Additional responsibilities include preparing correspondence, organizing documents, data entry, and providing support to leadership and instructional staff with clerical and administrative tasks. The role requires consistent, professional interaction with learners, staff, and external visitors to ensure a welcoming and efficient campus experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Administrative Assistance and Clerical Skills, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and calendar management.
- Professional Phone Etiquette and Communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly and respectfully with diverse learners, staff, and visitors.
- Experience or aptitude in Executive Administrative Assistance, supporting leadership with scheduling, meeting preparation, and follow-up tasks.
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, and student information systems) and comfort learning new digital tools.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy educational environment.
- Customer service mindset and a supportive approach to working with learners, including maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Previous administrative or office experience in education or healthcare settings is an asset.
- Completion of a relevant certificate or diploma program in office administration, business, or a related field is preferred.
