Axxima is an independent firm of consultants specializing in the fields of actuarial science, insurance, and risk management. Axxima's services and expertise are offered to insurance companies, including mutual and captive insurance companies, as well as various public and private entities. We have offices in Toronto and St-Bruno-de-Montarville.
The risk insurance management team offers a multitude of services, including:
- Review the current insurance and reinsurance arrangements to analyze their efficiency, and provide risk management recommendations
- Insurance and Reinsurance placement
- Binding risks and issuing policy documents, including endorsements and certificates of insurance
- Collecting and processing premiums
- Managing and settling claims for property and casualty insurance and beyond
The position will be within our dynamic team at our offices located in downtown Toronto (hybrid work mode).
Responsibilities:
Account Management
· Provide insurance / risk identification expertise.
· Explain complex insurance concepts in clear, accessible language.
· Analyze risk, prepare reports, service agreements and studies for clients.
· Build long-term relationships with clients and insurance market partners.
· Contribute to business development and client retention initiatives.
Insurance Brokerage
· Assist clients with the completion of applications.
· Negotiate property, casualty and executive risk insurance.
· Prepare quotes and binders of insurance.
· Review terms and conditions of insurance contracts.
· Prepare and distribute certificates of insurance.
· Assist clients with claims and policy language.
· Direct and/or answer client inquiries.
Reinsurance Brokerage
· Review terms and conditions of reinsurance contracts.
· Assist in the preparation of reinsurance submissions.
· Direct and/or answer client inquiries.
Administration
· Format and edit emails, letters and proposals for team members.
· Prepare presentation materials.
· Coordinate meetings and events.
· Prepare monthly reports regarding placements.

Preferred Qualifications:
· Post secondary education
· 5 years related insurance / reinsurance industry experience
· Licensed broker (RIBO or equivalent)
· Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Adobe PDF
