Role Description The Restaurant Server is a full-time, on-site role based in Mississauga, ON. In this position, the server greets guests, presents menus, takes food and beverage orders, and serves items accurately and efficiently. The role includes answering questions about menu offerings, making suggestions, and ensuring guests have everything they need throughout their visit. Daily tasks involve preparing tables, maintaining a clean and organized service area, handling payments, and coordinating with the kitchen and catering teams to deliver orders on time. The server also supports catering events by setting up service stations, assisting with food presentation, and providing attentive service to event guests.
Qualifications
- Food Service and Food & Beverage skills, including experience serving meals and beverages in a restaurant or catering environment.
- Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with diverse guests and colleagues.
- Food Preparation skills, such as basic knowledge of handling, plating, and presenting pastries and other menu items safely.
- Ability to work on-site in Mississauga, ON, standing for extended periods and managing a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management to handle multiple tables or event responsibilities.
- Basic math skills and experience handling cash, cards, or point-of-sale systems.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices; formal food handler certification is an asset.
- Previous experience as a server, counter staff, or catering staff is preferred, but candidates with transferable hospitality or retail experience are encouraged to apply.
