This position is responsible for developing and executing targeted sales campaigns to support new product launches, product relaunches for focus principals, and strategic growth initiatives, with the goal of winning customers and new blue chip principal relationships to make Barentz Always a better solution. This role combines sales campaign development, marketing content, product positioning, pipeline development, and inside sales for Human Nutrition. Responsibility will be to take a product or sales opportunity from concept through campaign development and into active customer outreach and revenue generation, using both reactive methods: inbound inquiry, internal consult calls and proactive methods: targeted product campaigns, cross-selling, referrals to meet goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Campaign & Product Launch Development
- Working with Product Coordinators & Principal Managers, develop targeted sales campaigns for new product launches, relaunches, and priority products.
- Identify target markets, customer segments, applications, and sales opportunities.
- Develop compelling selling points, value propositions, product messaging, and customer benefits.
- Identify key differentiators and competitive advantages to support the sales story.
- Create campaign strategies designed to generate awareness, engagement, qualified leads, and sales.
- Develop launch and relaunch plans, including target accounts, outreach strategies, messaging, and follow-up activities.
Marketing Collateral & Sales Tools
- Develop and coordinate sales and marketing collateral to support targeted principal/product campaigns, including:
o Product launch materials
o Sales presentations
o Product sheets
o Email campaigns
o Customer-facing promotions
o Sales scripts
o Talking points
o Competitive positioning
o Application-specific selling materials
- Translate technical or product information into clear, compelling customer-focused messaging.
- Ensure sales materials provide Account Managers and other Inside Sales Representatives with the tools they need to confidently present and sell the product.
Pipeline Development
- Build targeted prospect lists for CDA and develop account-specific outreach strategies.
- Research prospective customers and identify opportunities within existing and new accounts.
- Generate qualified leads through outbound prospecting, email campaigns, phone outreach, and other appropriate channels.
- Develop and maintain an active sales pipeline tied to campaign objectives.
- Track leads, opportunities, customer interactions, and campaign results.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell, upsell and re-engage existing customers.
Inside Sales
- Actively participate in outbound inside sales activities generated through campaigns.
- Contact prospects and customers by phone, email, and other channels.
- Qualify leads and identify customer needs, applications, timing, and purchasing potential.
- Present products and solutions and communicate key selling points.
- Follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns.
- Move qualified opportunities through the sales process and, where appropriate, close business or hand opportunities off to the appropriate sales representative.
- Maintain consistent follow-up to maximize campaign conversion.
Campaign Measurement & Optimization
- Develop the message behind a campaign and directly contact customers to sell it!
- Monitor campaign performance and pipeline development.
- Track metrics such as leads generated, customer engagement, meetings, opportunities, conversion rates, and sales.
- Identify what is working and recommend adjustments to improve campaign performance.
- Provide regular reporting on campaign activity, pipeline, and results.
- Use customer feedback and sales conversations to refine product messaging and future campaigns.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Sciences
- Experience using industry related technologies, systems and equipment.
- Proven experience in new business development, sales, campaign marketing.
- Strong understanding of how to develop a product's value proposition and sales story.
- Demonstrated ability to create sales campaigns that translate into measurable pipeline and revenue.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable creating sales collateral and customer-facing content.
- Strong prospecting and relationship-building skills.
- Confident making outbound calls and engaging prospects directly.
- Able to understand products quickly and translate features into customer benefits and compelling selling points.
