About the Role
BBC Construction is looking for an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team.
The Project Coordinator will support the project management team in coordinating construction activities, schedules, documentation, and communication across a variety of projects. This role works closely with project managers, field staff, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize project documents, drawings, specifications, permits, and approvals.
- Act as a key point of contact between project managers, field staff, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
- Assist with preparing, updating, and tracking project schedules and key deliverables.
- Coordinate subcontractor and vendor schedules, deliveries, and quality requirements.
- Track daily project progress and prepare project updates and reports.
- Assist with purchase orders, invoices, change orders, and other project financial documentation.
- Work with the Project Manager to address and coordinate the resolution of on-site issues.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and report observations to the Project Manager.
- Support project quality, safety, and performance standards.
- Assist with site orientations, safety meetings, PPE requirements, and WHMIS compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in Construction or Restoration is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction project management software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving project-related issues.
The expected salary range for this role is between $60,000 - $65,000 per year. The starting salary will be determined based on several factors such as the successful candidate’s qualifications, including but not limited to education and experience.
