Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cabinet Maker role based in Hamilton, ON. The Cabinet Maker will build, assemble, and install custom cabinets and millwork according to drawings, specifications, and measurements. Daily tasks include cutting, shaping, and finishing wood components, operating woodworking machinery and hand tools, and ensuring accurate fit and alignment of all pieces. The role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, collaborating with team members to plan workflow, maintaining a clean and safe workshop, and inspecting completed work for quality and durability. The Cabinet Maker will also assist with material selection, manage inventory of supplies, and support continuous improvement in shop processes.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Cabinetry and Woodworking, with experience building and assembling custom cabinets and related components.
- Proficiency in Carpentry and Millwork, including the use of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Ability in Spatial Design, including reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and measurements.
- Previous experience as a Cabinet Maker, Carpenter, or similar role in a workshop or construction environment.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices and ability to follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Physical ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks safely.
- Relevant trade certification, apprenticeship completion, or equivalent experience is an asset.
