Production Assistant – Part-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday; specific days and hours are open for discussion based on availability and business needs.
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and motivated Production Assistant to join our team in Richmond, BC. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day production and business operations, including the preparation and assembly of trophies and medals, engraving and printing, inventory management, purchasing, and customer service.
This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, good communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the production, preparation, and assembly of trophies, medals, and related products.
- Assist with engraving, printing, and other customization requirements.
- Ensure products are prepared accurately and meet quality standards.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining production materials, tools, and supplies.
- Monitor inventory and notify the Manager when materials or supplies need to be reordered.
- Assist with preparing purchase orders and communicating with vendors as required.
- Receive, organize, and maintain raw materials and other supplies.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to walk-in customers.
- Answer and assist with customer inquiries received by phone, email, or other communication channels.
- Communicate regularly with the Manager regarding production requirements, customer requests, and daily tasks.
- Assist the Manager with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.
- Identify opportunities to improve production processes and communicate suggestions to the Manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing, retail, customer service, or a similar environment is an asset.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills are an asset.
- Previous experience with engraving, printing, trophies, medals, or similar products is an asset but not required.
