Overview
Bertone is seeking a dedicated live-in couple to oversee the daily maintenance, cleanliness, and resident experience of one of our residential communities. Through a combination of operational expertise and exceptional customer service, you will help create a property that residents are proud to call home.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the building's cleanliness, appearance, and curb appeal through routine cleaning of common areas, vacant suites, grounds, and exterior walk-throughs.
- Perform general maintenance and minor repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical work, while conducting regular inspections of building systems and equipment.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities, seasonal operations, waste management, and the work of external contractors and service providers.
- Provide exceptional service to residents by responding to inquiries, processing maintenance requests, managing access controls, and ensuring building rules and standards are respected.
- Support leasing and occupancy activities, including apartment showings, move-ins, move-outs, suite inspections, and preparing vacant units to be rent-ready.
- Respond to urgent building situations and resident emergencies, including availability for after-hours and weekend on-call support as required.
What You Bring
- Previous experience in residential, commercial, or multi-residential building maintenance and operations.
- Knowledge of general building repairs, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical maintenance.
- Familiarity with building systems, mechanical equipment, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to build positive resident relationships.
- Fully bilingual (French and English), valid driver's licence, and ability to perform occasional physical labour and heavy lifting.
- Ability and willingness to reside on-site as part of the resident management team.
