We’re looking for a highly technical, autonomous, heads-down Intermediate to Senior Software Developer to contribute directly to ARI’s development.

What You'll Do
As part of our development team, you'll:
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain ARI services and features, with a strong individual contribution to production code
- Integrate large language model APIs and build reliable, observable, secure, production-ready orchestration workflows
- Develop RAG architectures, AI agents, and tools that allow models to interact with internal data and services
- Build and optimize scalable ingestion, chunking, embedding, indexing, re-indexing, and vector-retrieval pipelines
- Implement evaluation and quality controls, including structured-output validation, grounding checks, confidence thresholds, and automated testing
- Improve reliability, latency, and cost through telemetry, monitoring, rate limiting, and fallback strategies
- Contribute to architecture decisions, design microservices and REST APIs, and integrate AI capabilities into web applications and backend systems
- Own features end to end, from technical design through cloud deployment, support, and continuous improvement
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform code reviews, and strengthen security, CI/CD, and software-quality practices
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of professional software development experience, with meaningful experience in backend, distributed systems, or an AI product role
- A highly technical, autonomous, execution-focused developer profile, able to own complex features end to end and deliver production code
- Experience with AI development, including LLM APIs, RAG architectures, AI agents, or AI orchestration frameworks
- Strong experience with Python and/or TypeScript, microservices, REST API design, and scalable backend systems
- Hands-on experience with ingestion pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, and AI system evaluation
- Experience with automated testing, Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and cloud deployment
- A solid understanding of security, access control, reliability, performance, and cost considerations for production AI applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver high-quality code with minimal supervision
- French-English bilingualism is preferred to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Spring AI, MCP, or a comparable agent orchestration and tooling framework
- Experience with PostgreSQL and pgvector, Azure AI Search, ChromaDB, or another vector-search platform
- Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Hugging Face, or locally deployed models
- Experience with LangSmith, LiteLLM, or other LLM evaluation, tracing, and observability tools
- Experience in NLP, document classification, structured extraction, entity extraction, or unstructured-content processing
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP, as well as software architecture or technical design
