Senior Data Science Developer | RQ00244
We are looking for a Senior Data Science Developer to join Metrolinx’s Enterprise AI & Data Centre of Excellence and build enterprise-grade AI solutions, Generative AI applications, and intelligent agents.
Location: Toronto (Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week)
Contract Duration: 6 months
Pay rate: $70-75
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop GenAI applications, intelligent agents, and AI-powered solutions.
- Build solutions using LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, machine learning, and APIs.
- Develop reusable AI components, services, and enterprise integrations.
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise data sources, applications, and workflows.
- Build prototypes and take successful solutions into production.
- Evaluate model performance, accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
- Apply software engineering practices, including Git, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and documentation.
- Incorporate Responsible AI, privacy, security, and data governance.
Must-Have Skills:
- Advanced hands-on experience with Python, software engineering, LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, APIs, and prompt engineering.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Foundry / Azure AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, and Azure AI services.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying production AI solutions in the cloud.
- Strong foundation in statistics and machine learning, including classification, regression, clustering, feature engineering, model evaluation, and ML pipelines.
- Experience with SQL, Power Automate, VS Code, Git, Jira, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, Foundry, and Databricks.
- Public-sector experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
