BGC South East is currently seeking a Supervisor, Special Events & Sponsorships to join our team.

May travel to or work out of other BGC South East locations as needed.
Hours: 40 hours/week, weekdays, with occasional evenings and weekends
Rate of Pay: $30/hour + eligible employee benefits
Start Date: Immediate
Status: Full-time

About the Role
The Supervisor, Special Events & Sponsorships will develop and implement a special events and sales plan with a goal of achieving and growing $2 million+ in annual revenue.
Reporting to the Director, Resource Development and Communications, this position will expand partnerships, sponsorships, fundraising opportunities, and community outreach to support the growth and long-term sustainability of BGC South East.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working a flexible schedule for special events, including evenings and weekends, and will enjoy working in a leadership role with a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new and nurture existing partnerships to achieve and grow annual revenue goals of $2 million+ through sponsorships, special events, partnerships, and donor engagement.
- Lead the planning, coordination, promotion, and execution of a minimum of five major special events annually, including an annual gala, golf tournament, breakfast fundraiser, and other signature fundraising events.
- Manage event budgets, timelines, vendors, logistics, sponsorship deliverables, guest experience, volunteer coordination, and event-day execution.
- Develop strategies to increase event revenue through sponsorships, ticket and table sales, auctions, donations, in-kind support, and other fundraising opportunities.
- Monitor and report on fundraising and event performance, including revenue, expenses, sponsorship performance, donor retention, attendance, engagement, and return on investment.
- Maintain fundraising and event calendars, project plans, budgets, prospect pipelines, and tracking systems.
- Lead and grow third-party and community-led fundraising initiatives by providing organizers with the tools, resources, guidance, and support they need.
- Develop and present customized sponsorship packages, including prospecting, proposal development, negotiation, recognition, fulfillment, and renewal.
- Lead donor stewardship activities, including donation processing, tax receipting, mailout campaigns, thank-you communications, donor recognition, record management, and follow-up.
- Lead the implementation of giving campaigns, including monthly giving, donor campaigns, major gifts, and legacy giving.
- Support the marketing team in developing campaigns and materials aligned with BGC South East's brand, fundraising, and program goals.
- Develop impact-focused communications and campaigns to increase the organization's reach and support.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with individual donors, small businesses, corporations, Club families, and Club alumni.
- Maintain accurate records of prospects, partners, sponsors, donors, event participants, commitments, and stewardship activities within the organization's CRM and related systems.
- Represent BGC South East professionally at community, business, networking, and fundraising events.
- Support the mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of BGC South East while building strong relationships across departments and with BGC Clubs and partners across Canada.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Post-secondary education in business, communications, or a related field.
- Graduate-level education is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in fundraising and/or sales.
- Fundraising certification is considered an asset.
- Marketing experience is considered an asset.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence.
- Successful completion of a CPIC/Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
