Black Diamond Group is hiring a full-time position for a Senior Business Process Analyst based out of our Calgary Head Office.
This role is hybrid - in-office with 20% flexibility to work from home.
Reporting to the GM, Digital Transformation, WFS, the Senior Business Process Process Analyst will be a key contributor to the successful implementation and ongoing optimization of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions across WFS. Working closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, project team members, and implementation partners, this role will support all phases of the ERP project lifecycle, including business process assessment, fit-gap analysis, solution design, data readiness, testing, training, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
The Senior Business Process Process Analyst serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and implementation teams, ensuring business requirements are clearly understood, future-state processes are appropriately designed, and ERP solutions are implemented in a manner that supports operational efficiency, scalability, and long-term business objectives.
As the ERP project progresses through different phases, the responsibilities of this role will evolve to meet project needs. Early phases will focus heavily on business process discovery, requirements gathering, fit-gap assessments, and future-state process design, while later phases will shift toward data migration, testing, organizational readiness, training, go-live support, and stabilization.
The Ideal candidate has 5–7+ years of business analysis/process improvement experience with hands-on ERP implementation experience, strong fit-gap and process design skills, and experience with requirements, data migration, UAT, and go-live. Strong stakeholder management and the ability to translate business needs into practical ERP solutions are essential.

Duties And Responsibilities
Business Process Assessment & Analysis
- Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to understand end-to-end business processes, operational requirements, controls, and business objectives.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions to document current-state processes, future-state processes, business rules, controls, and decision points.
- Analyze operational workflows and supporting data to identify process gaps, inefficiencies, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for standardization.
- Develop detailed business process documentation, process maps, workflows, and supporting requirements documentation.
- Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, efficiency, scalability, and data quality.
- Apply knowledge of WFS operations and industry practices to ensure recommendations are practical and aligned with business objectives.
ERP Fit-Gap Assessment & Solution Design
- Participate in ERP assessment and solution design activities to evaluate how standard ERP functionality aligns with business requirements.
- Lead fit-gap analysis discussions with business stakeholders and implementation partners.
- Identify areas where existing business processes can adopt ERP best practices and where process, configuration, integration, reporting, or enhancement requirements may exist.
- Document and prioritize fit-gap findings, recommendations, assumptions, risks, and decisions.
- Support evaluation of alternative solutions by considering business value, operational impact, risk, cost, and implementation complexity.
- Review and validate proposed future-state processes, workflows, controls, and system functionality.
- Assist stakeholders in making informed decisions regarding process standardization, configuration options, and solution trade-offs.
Requirements Management
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements throughout the ERP project lifecycle.
- Translate business needs into clear and actionable business and functional requirements.
- Develop user stories, process documentation, use cases, acceptance criteria, and supporting business documentation.
- Ensure requirements remain aligned with approved business objectives as project scope evolves.
- Coordinate stakeholder reviews, approvals, and sign-offs throughout design and implementation activities.
Data Migration & Readiness
- Support business data migration activities, including data review, profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with business owners to establish data ownership and accountability.
- Assist in identifying data quality issues and support remediation efforts.
- Participate in data validation and user sign-off activities.
- Support the development of data governance and data management practices associated with the new ERP solution.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Support development of test strategies, test scenarios, test scripts, and business validation procedures.
- Coordinate business participation in user acceptance testing (UAT) and conference room pilot activities.
- Work with stakeholders and vendors to track defects, issues, resolutions, and retesting requirements.
- Validate that configured solutions meet approved business requirements and fit-gap decisions.
- Coordinate business acceptance and sign-off of testing results and implementation readiness.
Organizational Readiness & Deployment
- Assess operational impacts associated with new ERP processes and system capabilities.
- Support training development, business procedures, and operational documentation.
- Assist with communications, stakeholder engagement, and change readiness activities.
- Support cutover planning, deployment activities, and business readiness assessments.
- Participate in go-live support and post-implementation stabilization efforts.
- Identify and help resolve business process issues that arise during implementation and post-go-live operations.
Stakeholder Management & Project Support
- Build strong working relationships with business leaders, operational teams, project resources, and implementation partners.
- Facilitate discussions to resolve process, requirements, and implementation challenges.
- Manage multiple priorities and project activities while meeting established timelines and deliverables.
- Provide regular updates regarding project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
- Support project governance activities and ensure key stakeholders remain informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Business, Commerce, Finance, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in business analysis, business process improvement, ERP implementation, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise software or ERP implementations.
- Experience facilitating process discovery workshops and requirements-gathering sessions.
- Strong understanding of operational and financial business processes.
- Experience supporting data migration, testing, training, and organizational readiness activities.
- Experience working with external implementation partners and cross-functional project teams.
