Role Description The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Brampton, ON, responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring projects that support Black Moms Connection’s programs and community initiatives. This role oversees project timelines, budgets, and resources, coordinating with internal teams, volunteers, and external partners to ensure deliverables are met. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing project plans, managing logistics, tracking milestones, preparing status reports, and addressing risks or issues that may impact project outcomes. The Project Manager will also support event coordination, process improvement, and documentation to ensure projects are aligned with organizational goals and community needs. This position requires consistent on-site collaboration, stakeholder communication, and hands-on support for programs and events.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated project management skills, including Project Management and Expediting, with experience leading projects from initiation through completion.
- Experience in coordinating operational activities, including Expeditor and Logistics Management responsibilities, to ensure timely and efficient delivery of project tasks.
- Knowledge of quality and compliance processes, including Inspection-related activities, to maintain standards across programs and initiatives.
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a community-focused environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including community members and partners.
- Proficiency with project management tools and basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, shared drives).
- Experience working in non-profit, community-based, or mission-driven organizations is an asset.
- Relevant education or certification in project management, operations, or a related field is preferred.
