Black Health is an independent health journalism publication built for Black patients and families. We cover the conditions, policies, and systems that shape Black health outcomes in America. Our reporting is grounded in citations from CDC, NIH, the American Heart Association, ACOG, JAMA, NEJM, and other peer-reviewed sources, and reviewed by licensed Black clinicians. Beyond journalism, we maintain practical tools the community needs: a verified directory of Black-serving clinicians, a community health center (FQHC) locator, a hospital racial equity index, sickle cell care center listings, HIV testing and PrEP resources, and state-by-state Medicaid information. Our hubs cover Black women's health, Black men's health, kids and teens health, and seniors health. Our visual atlas shows how skin conditions present on Black skin, addressing a long-standing gap in mainstream medical reference materials. Founded in 2002 by Will Moss, the founder of HBCU Connect, Black Health continues a 27-year track record of building trusted digital infrastructure for Black communities.
