About the Job
We are seeking a customer-focused and organized Sales Representative to support customer service and sales activities across the business. Reporting directly to the Senior Business Development Manager, this role plays an important part in managing customer orders, responding to customer inquiries, supporting sales initiatives, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
The Sales Representative serves as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring requests are handled efficiently, professionally, and accurately. Working closely with the Customer Service Leader, as well as internal departments and external customers, this role supports order management, issue resolution, sales programs, and customer-facing processes. The ideal candidate is service-driven, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where strong communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Responsibilities
Customer Service & Order Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for routine store and customer inquiries.
- Respond to customer and store inquiries in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
- Support service levels provided to Loblaw stores in Ontario and Quebec, as well as other customer accounts as assigned.
- Manage customer orders from placement through shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up.
- Assist customers with product availability, order status requests, product information, and general inquiries.
- Follow up on customer requests and issues to ensure satisfactory resolution.
- Escalate complex or recurring issues to the Sales & Customer Service Leader as appropriate.
- Enter, maintain, and update customer information and order details within company systems.
Sales Support
- Work collaboratively with the sales team to support customer acquisition, retention, and sales-related activities through the preparation and maintenance of customer and account information.
- Research potential leads using business directories, online resources, and internal tools.
- Respond to prospective customer questions and conduct follow-up communications as required.
Customer Relations & Problem Resolution
- Understand customer needs and utilize effective problem-solving techniques to resolve issues.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer requests are addressed efficiently.
- Identify recurring customer or store concerns and communicate trends and improvement opportunities to the Sales & Customer Service Leader.
Continuous Improvement & Administrative Support
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve customer service processes and departmental efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to customer interactions and requests.
- Contribute to a positive customer experience by representing Bloomstar professionally at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in customer service, sales support, account management, business development, or a related customer-facing role.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience managing customer accounts, processing orders, and coordinating customer requests from initiation to completion.
- Strong understanding of customer service principles and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Experience supporting sales initiatives, customer programs, or business development activities is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with ERP, CRM, or order management systems is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to identify issues and coordinate effective solutions.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Additional Information
- Location: On site at Bloomstar’s Head Office in Mississauga, Ontario
- Wage: $45,000 to $50,000. Compensation is determined based on job related factors such as skill set, work experience, education, work location, market conditions and internal equity.
