The Opportunity
An established restaurant organization is seeking an accomplished multi-location operations leader to guide a portfolio of full-service restaurants. This position is responsible for building strong leadership teams, improving business performance, and ensuring each location delivers a consistent guest and employee experience.
The successful candidate will be highly visible in the restaurants, working directly with General Managers, culinary leaders, and their teams. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can balance people development, operational discipline, financial accountability, and thoughtful growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and direction across a designated group of restaurants.
• Coach and develop General Managers and culinary leaders, strengthening accountability, decision-making, and succession readiness.
• Partner with restaurant leadership to improve sales, profitability, labour management, cost controls, and overall operating results.
• Ensure consistent execution of service, food quality, cleanliness, safety, and operating standards.
• Complete regular restaurant visits, business reviews, and operational assessments, then establish clear follow-up priorities.
• Support annual planning and budgeting while helping leaders understand and manage their financial results.
• Identify performance gaps early and provide practical coaching, resources, and action plans.
• Promote a positive, respectful culture that supports retention, recognition, and leadership growth.
• Provide support for guest concerns and complex restaurant issues when senior leadership involvement is required.
• Contribute to broader operational planning, local sales initiatives, restaurant openings, and business improvement projects.
Candidate Profile
• More than 2 years of progressive leadership experience in multi-location, full-service restaurant operations. Preference will be given to those applicants who come from a corporate and franchise operations background.
• Previous success as a General Manager in a high-volume full-service restaurant environment.
• Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including sales, labour, food costs, budgeting, and profit performance.
• A practical coaching style with a track record of developing confident, accountable restaurant leaders.
• Sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations.
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to work effectively with restaurant teams and senior leadership.
• Working knowledge of restaurant technology and common business applications.
• Solid understanding of food safety, workplace safety, and applicable operating requirements.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned market.
• Post-secondary education in business, hospitality, or a related field is considered an asset.
