Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Network Specialist to join our team. The IT Network Specialist will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network administration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Network Design & Implementation: Develop and implement network infrastructure strategies that align with organizational goals. Design, configure, and deploy network solutions including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Network Maintenance: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular updates to maintain optimal network health
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance for network-related issues, resolving problems in a timely manner
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures to ensure operational continuity and compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT staff and departments to ensure seamless integration of network systems with other technologies.
- Compliance: Ensure network operations comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, I.T or related field.
- Experience: Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in network administration, support, or a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls), network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and network monitoring tool
- Preferred Experience: Strong understanding on network security principles and experience with networking protocols, technologies and standards
What is in it for you:
Location: Onsite – 5 days per week (Mississauga)
Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 base salary + 10% annual bonus
Equity: Eligible to participate in BoomerangFX Stock Option Plan after 6 months
