Original job description
Help redefine customer support for the AI era.
Most companies are running support on ticketing systems built in 2007, with AI bolted on as an afterthought. Botpress is the enterprise-grade AI agent platform for customer support - built the other way around.
We're displacing legacy platforms like Zendesk at scale - across industries, regions, and thousands of companies worldwide.
The work ahead is ambitious. The opportunity is rare. We take a deliberate approach to growth: product-led, capital-efficient, and highly focused.
If you want to build the customer support platform for the AI era, we're looking for top talent to join us.
About the Role
We're hiring a full-cycle Account Executive for the North American market. You'll report to the Director of Sales and own your number end to end - sourcing it, qualifying it, running it, and closing it.
This is not a seat where deals arrive in your inbox. A meaningful share of your pipeline will be pipeline you built: working our existing sign-ups and dormant accounts, and running outbound into named target accounts you've picked. You'll have a dialer, a CRM, a Solutions Engineer, and a lot of room to decide how you work.
If you've only ever run handed-to-you inbound, this role will be harder than it looks. If you've been waiting for a floor where the pipeline you create is the pipeline you close, this is that one.
Responsibilities
Build your own pipeline - outbound into named accounts, plus mining our existing sign-ups and aged leads for real opportunities
Run the full cycle from first touch to signature: discovery, demo, business case, negotiation, close
Multi-thread your deals. Our buyer rarely signs alone - you'll need the support leader, their ops lead, and the technical stakeholder behind both
Work in tandem with Solutions Engineering to prove out the platform against the prospect's actual support stack
Keep your pipeline honest in HubSpot - we run discovery to SPICED, and we expect accurate stages, next steps, and a forecast your manager can rely on
Remain attuned to industry trends to inform our product development and strategic direction
Foster collaboration with marketing, operations, and engineering to propel Botpress's growth and culture
Requirements
2+ years closing in B2B SaaS, with a track record of self-sourced pipeline - you can name accounts you created from nothing and walk through how you closed them
Experience selling to support, CX, or operations leaders is a strong plus
Comfortable living on the phone; this is a dialer-first floor, not an email-only one
Comfortable speaking with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike
Able to clearly communicate value and tailor messaging to different industries
Organized, self-motivated, and persistent, with strong follow-up discipline
Curious, driven, and excited about working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup
This role covers the North American market; strong written and spoken English is required
