Braemar College is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our Academic Office. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior professional looking to develop a career in education administration while working in a supportive and collaborative school environment.
Reporting directly to the Academic Coordinator, and Principal this role provides administrative support to the Academic Department and Front Desk operations. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in student records management, school administration, compliance, customer service, and educational operations, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Academic Coordinator and Academic Department
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate student records.
- Organize, file, archive, and retire student and administrative documents.
- Assist with Ontario Student Record (OSR) maintenance and record management.
- Prepare documents, reports, letters, and academic forms.
- Support transcript requests and student record updates.
- Assist with student onboarding and file collection.
- Provide front desk reception coverage three mornings per week, welcoming students, families, and visitors.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct requests appropriately.
- Assist with school events, and other academic projects.
Qualifications
- College diploma or post-secondary education in Business Administration, Office Administration, Education, or a related field.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Brightspace (D2L), Moodle, Blackboard, or similar platforms is considered a strong asset.
- Experience working with student information systems such as PowerSchool is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of Ontario Ministry of Education policies & Ontario Student Records (OSRs).
