The Opportunity
With strong communication skills and a proven ability to build a caring rapport with students, the successful candidates will join the Senior and Middle School team and will report to their respective Instructional Leader. For the 2026-27 academic year, we are seeking Supply Teachers to work in our Senior and Middle School in various subject areas listed below. Key Accountabilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Create and contribute to a classroom environment that inspires and supports learning and personal growth through a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lens;
- Establish supportive rapport with students and colleagues;
- Motivate students to develop the skills, attitudes and knowledge needed for further education in accordance with each student's ability;
- Deliver lessons that allow for differentiated learning for all students, as assigned by the teacher;
- Use relevant technology to support instruction;
- Supervise students during lessons, and outside of the classroom as assigned;
- Demonstrate a flexible, responsive approach to teaching and learning.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution relative to your teaching subject;
- Ontario Teacher Qualifications in Intermediate or Senior division with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience;
- IB teaching experience is considered an asset;
- Knowledge of relevant technology and able to work in a laptop environment;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Strong commitment to duty of care;
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Accountable and responsible, is self-motivated, and shows strong initiative;
- Maintains a positive attitude and a calm, professional demeanour;
- Alignment with Branksome Hall’s mission, vision and values.
Daily Rate: $250/ day
