Role Description We're hiring a community manager to own community and engagement for a roster clients You'll be the person actively in the feeds every day, building relationships, spotting trends before they peak, and turning followers into fans. You'll partner closely with our creative strategist on calendar direction but the day to day energy and cultural pulse of each account is yours.
Key responsibilities
Publishing and quality control
- Own the posting calendar execution - every piece of content goes up on time, on every platform, no exceptions.
- Serve as final look before anything publishes: check copy, tags, links, captions, and creative for errors or brand missteps.
- Catch issues before they go live, not after.
Community management and engagement
- Own day-to-day community management across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms for every brand in your portfolio.
- Set response times, tone of voice, and escalation paths per client.
- Actively engage in comments and DMs, and proactively engage with other accounts to build brand presence and goodwill.
- Monitor social listening and reputation. Surface insights and risks early.
Relationship building and trend spotting
- Build genuine relationships with community members, fans, and adjacent accounts. Know the regulars.
- Identify emerging trends, sounds, formats, and conversations before they peak. Bring them to the creative strategist for calendar integration.
- Reach out to complementary brands and creators for organic partnerships, collabs, and cross-promotion opportunities.
- Be a culture-first presence - you know what's happening on TikTok this week and why it matters.
Content calendar support
- Partner with the creative strategist on calendar planning and content pillars, contributing community insight and trend intel.
- Brief designers, motion/video editors, and creators alongside the creative strategist as needed.
- Support copy, hooks, and captions in each brand's distinct voice.
Influencer and creator integration
- Partner with the influencer team to identify and nurture creator relationships sourced through community engagement.
- Provide input on creator selection and content review to ensure brand fit.
- Integrate creator content into always-on calendars.
Analytics, reporting, and optimization
- Track community health metrics per client: engagement, sentiment, response time, follower growth quality, and define what “good” looks like.
- Build reporting templates and cadences focused on community and engagement trends.
- Flag optimization opportunities based on what's resonating in community.
Internal collaboration and process
- Refine community processes, templates, and best practices. Contribute to case studies and new business pitches.
- Mentor junior community coordinators and freelancers as the portfolio grows
Qualifications - required
- 2-5+ years in community management or social roles at agencies and/or in-house, with direct ownership of engagement and community growth.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple brands simultaneously in an agency environment.
- Direct category experience in at least two of: CPG, luxury F&B, hospitality, SaaS, beauty/wellness.
- Track record of building engaged communities from the ground up, with measurable results (not just engagement lifts).
- Meticulous attention to detail - comfortable being the last line of defense before something goes live.
- Deep, current understanding of social platforms, content formats, and creator ecosystems. You know what's working on TikTok this week.
- Excellent written voice, on-platform instincts, and a genuine love for being in the comments.
- Strong relationship-building instincts, comfortable initiating outreach to creators and brands.
- Working fl uency with Notion, Slack, and at least one social management/analytics tool (Sprout, Later, Dash Hudson, Emplifi , or equivalent).
Qualifications - nice to have
- Hands-on experience integrating creator/influencer programs into organic social calendars.
- Experience with HubSpot, Superfiliate, or comparable CRM/affiliate tooling.
- Paid social literacy - you don't need to run the account, but you should know what makes a paid creative win.
- Bilingual (EN/FR) for Canadian client work.
