Supply Chain Lead
Location: Calgary, AB
Pay rate range: $165k - $175k/year
Type: Permanent position
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Lead in Calgary. This role will play a key part in developing and executing sourcing and contracting strategies, managing complex supplier relationships, and supporting business operations through effective procurement and contract management practices. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute sourcing, procurement, and contracting strategies that support operational and business objectives.
- Manage the full competitive bid process, including Requests for Proposal (RFPs), evaluations, negotiations, contract awards, and implementation.
- Partner with internal stakeholders including Operations, Projects, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and other business groups to develop sourcing plans and commercial strategies.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a variety of contracts and commercial agreements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual, commercial, and supply chain risks throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Manage supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure delivery of goods and services.
- Oversee contract administration activities, including amendments, change orders, renewals, and dispute resolution.
- Analyze spend, supplier performance, and market conditions to identify cost-saving opportunities and value improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain and procurement processes.
- Support compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior procurement and supply chain team members.
- Maintain accurate procurement and contract documentation to support governance and audit requirements.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, contracts management, or commercial operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Engineering, Law, or a related discipline.
- Professional designation such as SCMP, CPSM, PMP, or equivalent is considered an asset.
- Proven experience negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements.
- Strong understanding of procurement, contract management, supplier relationship management, and commercial risk mitigation.
- Experience supporting large-scale industrial, energy, oil and gas, utilities, infrastructure, or related operations is preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on value creation and operational excellence.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and supply chain/procurement management systems.
