Title: Service Desk Technical Analyst 1
Duration: 6-month assignment with possibility of extension.
Hybrid: 4 days onsite
Location: Fredericton, NB or Moncton, NB or Halifax, NS
Hours: 8AM-5PM AST - This is a 7x24 operation, potential shift work at a reasonable notice.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a customer-focused Service Desk Analyst to join our Managed Services team. In this Tier 1 support role, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients, providing technical assistance through various communication channels including phone, email, messaging, and support portals. Working within a collaborative team, you will handle multiple support tickets daily, prioritize workload effectively, and escalate more complex issues to specialized technical teams when required.
This opportunity offers the chance to gain experience within a dynamic managed services organization while contributing to the success of both clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls for technical/customer service support.
- Respond to incoming e-mails concerning technical issues.
- Deliver prompt and efficient first line technical/customer support and other related business functions in a professional manner.
- Provide technical support of LAN, Desktop, and server devices.
- Maintain enterprise Microsoft environments.
- Create and manage tickets using service desk software.
Required Education/Credentials/Qualifications:
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role
- A college certificate or diploma in information technology and/or have relevant experience and industry certification.
- Passion for IT and desire to learn more about it.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 and other Microsoft Office programs is a requirement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional telephone manners and a strong customer service orientation is required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while handling multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes is an asset.
