The Calgary Drop-In and Rehab Centre (the DI) is a low-barrier, housing-focused organization serving some of Calgary’s most vulnerable community members.

The Opportunity
Position Title: Project Manager
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Employment Type: Full-time
Schedule: 40 hours per rotation with 5 days on and 2 days off.
Location: 1 Dermot Baldwin Way SE, Calgary, Alberta
About the Role
The Project Manager is a unique, agency-wide role at the DI, partnering with leaders across all departments to advance accreditation, strengthen program quality, and support organizational excellence. By driving continuous improvement, coordinating key organizational initiatives, and fostering collaboration across teams, this position helps ensure the DI remains responsive, accountable, and aligned in delivering high-quality services to the community.
What You’ll Do
Every role at the DI makes a difference. In this position, you will:
- Partner with program leaders to bring new initiatives to life by designing effective protocols, policies, and procedures, fostering strong relationships with sector partners to align with best practices, coordinating impactful training and onboarding experiences for staff, and developing meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that drive program success and continuous improvement.
- Champion accreditation excellence across the organization by partnering with teams to achieve and maintain program-specific standards, coordinating seamlessly with accreditation bodies for surveys, site visits, and reviews, and driving a culture of continuous improvement that ensures programs evolve alongside emerging best practices and accreditation requirements.
- Drive the development and long-term success of key organizational initiatives, such as Business Continuity Planning, by creating robust frameworks, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring the organization remains agile, resilient, and prepared for future challenges and opportunities.
- Advance the organization's growth and impact by identifying funding opportunities, helping secure new grants, and contributing compelling grant proposals that support innovative programs and address emerging gaps in services for the community.
- Partner with program leaders to strengthen the impact of established programs by guiding evaluation and reporting activities, identifying opportunities for innovation and enhancement, and leading continuous quality improvement initiatives that drive measurable outcomes and service excellence.
- Act as a dynamic ambassador for the organization by building strong partnerships across the community, actively participating in sector networks, committees, and working groups, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration, communication, and alignment to advance program goals and strengthen collective impact.

What we need from you
- A Bachelor’s in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Direct experience working in recovery-oriented services with a strong understanding of the population that the DI serves.
- Demonstrated ability in project and change management.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong collaborative relationships with others.
- Demonstrated ability to solicit input from all stakeholders to support engagement and collaborative project planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Must be self-directed with the ability to manage many conflicting and shifting priorities. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
- A genuine commitment to the mission, vision, values, and work of the agency.
Nice to Have’s
- Training in Change Management, Project Management or other relevant skills.
- Previous experience in a non-profit agency is preferential.
- Past experience in developing and coordinating quality improvement initiative would be an asset.
