THE OPPORTUNITY: Human Resources Advisor
As our Human Resources Advisor, you will advance HR programs and practices within the organization, playing a critical role in supporting the achievement of our business goals. Working across the organization, you will bring a thoughtful, people-focused approach to talent acquisition, performance and development, employee engagement, HR operations, and workplace practices, enabling meaningful impact by helping create a high-performing, collaborative, and engaging workplace where everyone on the team is supported to do their best work.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
Promoting elements and activities that are part of our performance and development cycle, including tools to drive focus, training to build capabilities, and guidance to foster a culture of collaboration, performance, and impact.
Identifying and advancing initiatives to drive strong team engagement, leveraging survey data, engagement insights, and compensation and reward trends.
Full cycle recruitment and onboarding, in partnership with leaders, attracting and selecting top talent and coordinating an exceptional new-joiner experience.
Delivering HRIS, payroll, and benefit administration, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in employee records, timekeeping, pay, and reporting.
Maintaining HR and health and safety related policies and procedures, ensuring ongoing compliance with legislation requirements and coaching members of the team on policy interpretation as needed.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is a confident and trusted HR professional who brings strong business acumen, sound judgment, and a track record of providing practical advice to drive positive business outcomes. Bringing a positive energy and a genuine commitment to collaboration and teamwork, while also being highly organized and adaptable, the successful incumbent will effectively balance project priorities with the day-to-day demands of HR operations, demonstrating the independence, initiative, and follow-through that is needed to support the team in advancing meaningful work and impact.
Additional qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with designation in human resources preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a human resources generalist role and 3 years’ direct recruitment experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment standards legislation, policies, and practices.
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation (or in progress) is highly desirable.
- Previous professional experience working with a non-profit organization is highly desirable.

OTHER INFORMATION
It is expected that the starting salary for this position will be in the range of $70,000 - $80,000, aligned with the successful candidate's experience and skill set.
