The Work, Stress and Health service is currently seeking a full-time, permanent, Psychometrist. The WSH is a unique service within CAMH in that it is a revenue generating service, working exclusively with third party insurers. In this role, you will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team providing assessment and/or treatment services to clients referred by the WSIB. This service specializes in providing assessment and outpatient treatment for individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and other psychiatric disorders that are related to the workplace.
As a member of an interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive psychological assessments as well as evidence-based treatment in both individual and group formats that will address psychological functioning, diagnosis and return to work, under supervision of a registered psychologist. The role includes administering, scoring, and interpreting standardized assessment measures, preparing clear and accurate assessment reports, and contributing information that supports diagnostic or clinical decisions. You will participate in multidisciplinary education and training. This position is currently located at 250 College Street.
Responsibilities
Administer standardized psychological tests, including cognitive, memory, personality, malingering, and other clinical assessment measures.
Conduct structured or semi‑structured clinical interviews to gather psychological and psychosocial information.
Score, interpret, and integrate test results into comprehensive assessment reports.
Prepare written reports that contribute to diagnostic impressions or clinical decision‑making.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all clinical records are complete and compliant.
Collaborate with clinicians and team members to support case formulation and clinical discussions, including regular supervision with a registered psychologist.
Participate in program development, research, quality‑assurance, or educational activities when required.
Work effectively and respectfully with clients from diverse cultural, racial, and social backgrounds.
Adhere to professional, ethical, and regulatory requirements, including confidentiality and safe practice.
Demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and effective organization in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in Psychology (or similar degree).
Registration and Good Standing with a regulatory body such as College of Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), College of Psychologists of Ontario as a Psychological Associate is required.
You will have 2+ years relevant experience and a background in the field of evidence-based protocol.
You will have 2+ years of experience in the administration of psychological assessments, including objective self-report instruments and structured diagnostic interviewing with an emphasis on the SCID, MMPI-3, and PAI.
Experience in assessing response bias and/or experience in pain assessment would be seen as an asset, as would experience in forensic psychological assessments.
Computer skills, including word-processing, database management, video conferencing, and presentation tools are essential.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple priorities are essential, particularly to work effectively and efficiently within set contractual reporting deadlines.
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the capacity to work in a dynamic team environment, serving clients of diverse ethno racial and cultural backgrounds.
Experience participating in research, evaluation, or quality‑improvement activities, and proficiency in a second language and bilingualism (English/French) would be assets.
Salary Range: $39.45 – $53.17 per hour
