Content Marketer

The Cash Management Group at Canaccord Genuity is looking for a motivated and creative Marketing Associate to join our high-performing team of finance professionals. Our group manages over $7 billion in client assets, and we are looking for like-minded individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, creativity, and grit.
The successful candidate will play an important role in developing and executing marketing initiatives that strengthen our brand, expand our market presence, and support business development efforts. This position requires someone who is both creative and analytical, with the ability to translate ideas into effective marketing campaigns that generate engagement and drive measurable results.
We are looking for a proactive, resourceful individual who understands digital marketing, social media, branding, and campaign management. You should be comfortable managing multiple projects, identifying opportunities to improve our marketing efforts, and collaborating with various teams to support the organization's growth.
Working closely with our sales team and content producers, the Marketing Associate will contribute to the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.
This is a full-time, onsite position out of our downtown Vancouver office.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns to increase brand awareness, expand market presence, and support business growth.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives across digital, social media, email, website, and traditional channels.
- Collaborate with internal teams and content producers to create engaging marketing materials, communications, and promotional content.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify new marketing opportunities.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to generate qualified leads and expand the company's client base.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients through targeted outreach, networking, and engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with investment advisors and the sales team to support prospecting, client acquisition, and retention.
- Develop presentations, proposals, and marketing materials that support business development efforts.
- Plan and coordinate client engagement activities, networking events, webinars, and other initiatives to strengthen relationships and brand visibility.
- Develop targeted client communications, newsletters, and outreach campaigns.
- Work with internal stakeholders to enhance the client experience and identify opportunities for long-term relationship growth.
- Manage social media platforms, content calendars, and digital marketing campaigns to increase audience engagement.
- Execute email marketing campaigns and assist with website updates, SEO, and online visibility.
- Monitor marketing analytics, lead generation metrics, and campaign performance to optimize results.
- Coordinate marketing projects, campaigns, and events from planning through execution.
- Manage project timelines, marketing calendars, and multiple competing priorities.
- Identify opportunities to improve marketing processes, client engagement, and overall business effectiveness.
Skills & Qualifications
- Completion of an undergraduate degree or higher, preferably in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, business development, client engagement, or a related role.
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage prospective clients, existing clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, professional, and persuasive marketing communications.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing campaigns, business development initiatives, or client engagement strategies.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, brand development, and lead generation strategies.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret marketing data, assess campaign performance, and identify opportunities for growth.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing professional, high-quality work.
- Proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative and forward-thinking approach to problem-solving, marketing, and business development.
- Professional demeanour and the ability to communicate effectively in a formal business environment.
Nice-to-Have
- Previous experience in financial services, investment management, or a related professional services industry.
- Experience using CRM platforms, such as Salesforce, or other client relationship management tools.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or similar software.
- Experience with website content management systems such as Squarespace or WordPress.
- Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and digital advertising.
- Graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar software.
- Experience coordinating corporate events, client engagement activities, webinars, or networking initiatives.
- Experience with marketing automation, lead generation tools, and campaign performance reporting.
